Martinez McDonalds Drive-Thru Robbed at Gun Point

A man demanded money at gunpoint from the cashier of a McDonalds drive-thru window at 1185 Arnold Drive and fled with an undisclosed amount.

A Martinez fast food chain’s drive-thru window was the scene of an armed robbery on Tuesday night, police said Wednesday.

At 9:08 p.m., Martinez police said a man demanded money at gunpoint from the cashier of a McDonalds drive-thru window at 1185 Arnold Drive.

He walked up to the window, police said, and reached through it after making demands, grabbing a drawer out of the cash register. Police said he fled on foot with the drawer, which contained an unspecified amount of cash.

The suspect evaded police during a later search. He was last seen fleeing north on Morello Avenue, police said.

He was described as a 20-year-old man with a dark complexion who was wearing a green army jacket. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Martinez police at (925) 372-3440.
