Martinez Peddlers' Faire

The sights and sounds of the 2011 Martinez Peddlers' Faire.

A warm spring day and the promise of collectables galore brought lots of folks to historic downtown Martinez Saturday for the biannual Peddlers Faire.  We made a little video to introduce you to some of the many personalities there.  Veteran George May, III shows us what paratroopers wore when they jumped out of planes on D Day.  John Humphries, host of “Hidden Treasures” and a living virtual encylopedia on collectables evaluated items for a donation to the Martinez Historical Society.  And for us foodies there was Rachael Zavala  of  the soon-to-open Compass Star, with delightful cured meat sandwiches and other culinary wonders.
