Martinez Resident Shines As Yard House Director Of Operations

MARTINEZ, CA — What does it take to run some of Yard House’s most successful restaurants in the country? Just ask Martinez resident Ryan Rossi, director of operations of the six Yard House locations in the West region. Rossi just achieved Diamond Club status, one of the top honors at parent company Darden Restaurants.

He was recognized this year for his commitment to delivering guest experiences at the highest level, while making a difference in the lives of guests and team members, as well as in his community, company officials said in a news release.

"Ryan’s guidance has allowed his team to thrive, excel and grow," said Michael Kneidinger, president of Yard House. "He understands the importance of effective leadership, professional development and passion in our industry."

Rossi, who oversees Yard House locations in Sacramento, Seattle, Portland, Fresno, Roseville and San Jose, attributes his professional success to the commitment and dedication of his general managers and their restaurant teams.

He says he was drawn to the hospitality industry by his late brother, Michael, and was instantly motivated by the energy and nature of the business.

In 2007, he made the leap to join the Yard House team because of its concept and culture, where he has been able to work with some of the best in the industry. He was promoted to general manager in 2009 and director of operations in 2012.

"Winning this award is a reflection of not only the dedication and hard work that I’ve put in over the years, but also a representation of the gratitude and support of the teams I oversee and the colleagues and superiors that have pushed me to my potential over the years," Rossi said.
