Martinez Veterans Day Ceremony Starts at 10 a.m.

The ceremony will begin at Alhambra Cemetery at 10 a.m. and continues at All Veterans Monument at 11 a.m.

Veterans Day Program will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2015. The ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. at the Alhambra Cemetery with a benediction, Bag Piper, placing of the wreath, and the pledge of allegiance.

The ceremonies will resume at the All Veterans Monument at Berrellesa Street and Alhambra Ave. at 11 a.m. The program at the monument will include messages from Mayor Rob Schroder, David Fraser the Representative for Supervisor Federal D. Glover and Veterans Day message from Michael Underwood. The National Anthem will be sung by Martinez Community Chorus and a remembrance by Veterans Commissioner Richard Philbrook

The ceremonies will conclude with the 21 gun salute by the American Legion Post 29 & VFW Post 1351 and Taps by Jennifer Oertel. After the ceremony, refreshments will be served at the Veterans Building, 930 Court Street. The community is invited to attend.
