CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – A Danville woman was recently crowned Miss Contra Costa County 2017. Alissa Anderegg beat out 12 other woman for the coveted crown.

“When I heard my name announced as Miss Contra Costa County, I was thrilled because this means I will have the opportunity to take my philanthropic work in the community to the next level, especially with my platform of Alzheimer's awareness,” said Anderegg to her new Executive Director, Paula Gross, after she was crowned.

Anderegg went on to say, “I am absolutely thrilled to be Miss Contra Costa County 2017. The first pageant I ever attended was Miss Contra Costa County 2002 when I was 7 years old, so to come full circle and win the title is such a dream come true. As Miss Contra Costa County, I hope to inspire others to find a cause they are passionate about and use their voices to make a difference in our community.”

“This year’s competition was absolutely amazing as each young woman is highly involved in their community, intelligent, loving, and truly follows the motto of Community Above Self. The judges had a difficult task of choosing just two young ladies to represent our county when truly each one of the 13 contestants would’ve been wonderful ambassadors. We have been given two wonderful titleholders, both will shine at Miss California and Miss California’s Outstanding Teen Competitions in June 2017 in Fresno,” Gross said.
