Restaurant Tour Raises More Than $3K For Martinez Performing Arts Program

Attendees numbered 200, and the event was deemed a success!

MARTINEZ, CA – The 12th Annual Martinez Restaurant Tour, held Oct. 8, raised $3,040 for the recreation department's O0s Ahs & Giggles program, according to city staff

The yearlong series of free family-friendly shows includes such entertainment as puppeteers, magicians, animal acts and jugglers.

Fourteen establishments participated in the afternoon event, and roughly 200 guests attended not only from Martinez, but also from surrounding communities of Concord, Fairfield, Napa, Vallejo, Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill, staff said.

All restaurants and bars received rave reviews from attendees for a welcoming atmosphere and good selection of food.

The winner of the 2016 Restaurant Tour Favorite was Barrel Aged/Barrelista-- a fourth win for the business.

This year’s winner of the tour raffle basket was Martinez resident, Pat Chauvet.

The Martinez Recreation Division thanked the following restaurants and their staff: Barrel Aged, Barrelista, Beaver Creek Smokehouse, Haute Stuff, La Tapatia, Luigi’s, Main Street Sweets, Nu Rays, Pacifica Pizza, Roxx on Main, Starbucks, States Coffee, Sunflower Garden, and Whiskey Lane.
