Summer Travel Through Oakland Airport Peaks This Weekend

OAKLAND, CA -- The number of travelers this summer through the Oakland International Airport is expected to peak this weekend, according to officials with the Port of Oakland, which manages the airport.

The peak period started Thursday and ends Monday.

Port officials expect 184,000 travelers through the airport during the five days, up 8 percent from last year.

More than one million travelers are expected to make their way through the airport in July.
