Trout Fishing: Waters Stocked In Contra Costa Co.
CA Fish and Wildlife's "planting season" of catchable trout runs through Jan. 5. Grab your fishing pole, and see the top spots in Bay Area.

BAY AREA, CA – Several bodies of water in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento and nearby will be stocked with trout this holiday season so individuals and families can enjoy fishing, California Department of Fish and Wildlife officials said.
Plants of catchable trout statewide started Saturday and will last through Jan. 5.
The fish and wildlife department's stocking schedule can be found at https://nrm.dfg.ca.gov/FishPlants/.

According to CDFW officials, plants will occur:
In Alameda County in Lakeshore Park Pond and Horseshoe, Shadow Cliff and Temescal lakes.

In Contra Costa County plants will occur in Heather Farms Pond and Lafayette, Los Vaqueros and Contra Loma reservoirs;
In El Dorado County - Folsom Lake;
In Lake County - Blue Lake Upper;
In Marin County, Bon Tempe Lake will be planted;
In Sacramento County, sites are Folsom Lake, Howe Community Park Lake, Granite Park Pond, Rancho Seco Lake, Elk Grove Park Pond, Hagan Park Pond, North Natomas Park Pond;
In Solano County, Lake Chabot will be planted;
And in Sonoma County, Ralphine Lake will be planted.
