Woman Tries To Stop Her Car From Being Stolen At Martinez Walmart
The car thief actually put the car in reverse and struck the woman in the parking lot, police said.

A woman in Martinez tried in vain to stop a thief from stealing her car as it was exiting the Walmart parking lot on Friday, police said today. Officers responded around 5:30 p.m. to a report of an auto theft at Walmart, located at 1021 Arnold Dr., police said.
The woman saw her car getting stolen and ran to her vehicle with her shopping cart in hand, police said. The suspect in the vehicle put the car in reverse and struck the woman’s shopping cart, causing it to back into and strike the woman, police said.
The woman suffered minor injuries to her leg, police said.

Police said the car was found two hours later roughly a block away. The case is still under investigation, police said.
