Zoo, Chabot Science Center Offering Discounts To AC Transit Riders

Alameda-Contra Costa Transit riders can get discounts to the Oakland Zoo and the Chabot Space & Science Center just for taking the bus to the attractions this summer, according to AC Transit.

Bus riders will get a $3 per person discount on admissions to Chabot Space & Science Center by taking the bus to the center. Line 339 goes to the center seven days a week.

Each rider that takes the bus to the zoo can get a free ticket to an Adventure Landing ride. Bus line 46 goes to the zoo seven days a week.

Bus riders can take advantage of the offers by obtaining a “promo receipt” from their bus driver.

Visitors can then present the receipt to zoo or center officials to get the discount when paying for admission.

A $2.7 million annual service enhancement package that went into effect this year is providing the new weekend service to both attractions.

The new service was in response to demands from AC Transit customers. The discounts are available seven days a week and are valid through Aug. 30.
