• MUSD administrators Root, 3 others win recognition (menifee247.com) — Menifee Union School District is celebrating four administrators who just earned major regional and statewide honors, including Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Root being named ACSA State Superintendent of the Year. The recognitions spotlight strong gains in student attendance, inclusive support services, and high-achieving school cultures across Menifee’s TK–8 campuses. An ACSA Region 19 ceremony in May will formally honor the group.

• Latest on McCall Square: Stater Bros. plans finally submitted (menifee247.com) — A long-awaited Stater Bros. grocery store at McCall Boulevard and Menifee Road is expected to start construction this summer, with grading planned by June. The store will anchor McCall Square and become Menifee’s fourth Stater Bros., finally bringing full-service groceries to the Heritage Lake community. Nearby shops already include Starbucks, Chipotle, and Jersey Mike’s.

• City introduces Menifee Leaders of Tomorrow program for teens (menifee247.com) — Menifee teens entering 11th or 12th grade can now apply for the free, eight-week Menifee Leaders of Tomorrow program running September 17 to November 12, 2026. Sessions at City Hall will teach how local government works through mock council meetings, staff reports, and mentorship. Space is limited to 17 students, with applications due June 26, 2026.
