At its June 17th meeting, the City Council approved a resolution calling the Election on November 4, 2014, for the purpose of electing three members of the Menlo Park City Council to four year terms which will expire during the month of December 2018.
The nomination period opens Monday, July 14, 2014, at 7:30 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m., on Friday, August 8, 2014, unless an incumbent does not file. In the event an incumbent does not file by 5:00 p.m. on August 8, the filing period will be extended to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.

The City of Menlo Park observes a modified work schedule, therefore potential candidates should take note that the City Clerk’s office will be closed on Friday, July 25th. Although City offices will be closed on Friday, August 8th, the City Clerk will be available by appointment to issue and/or accept nomination papers between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
