Cycle The Peninsula This Weekend In Bike 4 Breath Ride
It is a perfect family outing, too, with a 10-mile route option. And all for a good cause!

Hundreds of riders will be converging on Saturday, July 11 at Menlo-Atherton High School to participate in the 24th annual Bike 4 Breath charity ride, presented by local non-profit Breathe California.
āWhile the ride is an excellent way to enjoy the summer season and challenge oneself, it also helps to promote lung health and clean air policies in the greater Bay Area,ā says Alexandra Elliott, Breathe California Events Manager. āItās a great opportunity for families to ride together since itās open to all ages and rider levels.ā
The route selection ranges from the family-friendly 10 mile, the intermediate 32 mile, and the 65 mile for seasoned riders. The start/finish area features a health expo, kidsā zone, music, food, and prizes.

Riders are encouraged to collect donations leading up to the ride. Some riders ride in honor of their loved ones who have passed away due to lung disease while others ride to help support Breathe Californiaās clean air initiatives, services, and research support.
The fundraising goal is $150,000, said Linda Civitello, CEO of Breathe California. āThe stakes are higher than ever with lung disease now the second leading cause of death in the USA. Your donation will provide the urgent funds needed to ensure that breathing is not a struggle or risk!ā
