About the Training:

Canopy’s classroom education programs provide hands-on, outdoor activities that spark kids’ curiosity about trees and nature.

This free training covers teaching methodology, cultural sensitivity, and three of Canopy’s education modules: Under the Tree Book Reading (grades K-2), Planting Trees is Fun (grades 3-4), and Tree Identification (grades 5-8).

The courses will be co-taught by Canopy staff and local education experts, with a particular emphasis on hands-on learning experiences for youth.

Following the training, you’ll have a chance to sign-up for volunteer dates throughout the 2015-2016 school year. Most lessons are delivered during school hours.

Become an Education Leader and help inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. Email natalia@canopy.org for more information, or learn more about Canopy’s K-12 education programs and lessons.
