"Land of Opportunity,'' ongoing. The exhibit tells the story of the diverse people who came to the area and explores how different groups faced hardships and discrimination.
The museum is located in the Old Courthouse with its historic dome. Its collections include horse-drawn carriages, models, railroads from Caltrain and the Ocean Shore Railroad, relics from San Mateo's past, and lithographic art dating from 1875.
