The Great Rotunda

"The Great Rotunda,'' ongoing. The stained-glass dome of the rotunda thought to be the largest in a Pacific Coast public building is the architectural highlight of the museum building.

The museum is located in the Old Courthouse with its historic dome. Its collections include horse-drawn carriages, models, railroads from Caltrain and the Ocean Shore Railroad, relics from San Mateo's past, and lithographic art dating from 1875. $3-$5; free children ages 5 and under. Tuesday-Sunday.
