It must be Fathers’ Day! Zack Snyder (Director), Christopher Nolan (Producer), and David S. Goyer (Writer) are now the fathers of a newly minted venerable steel man. With his genesis, kryptonite is not the heart of the plot. Rather, it is about the new definition of a man for all seasons—“Man of Steel”.

In 2006, Bryan Singer attempted to resuscitate Superman with “Superman Returns”, but the oxygen did not last long enough. This time, Snyder’s CPR – a technique he must have learned from “300” and “Watchmen”– sustains Superman with that breath of fresh air.
