Fleet Feet Menlo Park Presents the Free Summerfest Run Happy 5k Fun Run & Walk, Sunday, July 16!

Join in the fun at Fleet Feet Menlo Park’s family-friendly Summerfest Run Happy 5k Fun Run & Walk starting at 9 a.m. in Fremont Park before the opening of day two of the big Menlo Summerfest on Sunday, July 16.

Pre-register here to reserve your finisher visor – a Brooks Run Happy visor. Finishers will also receive snow cones and other treats, and will have the opportunity to become an officially sponsored Brooks athlete with certificate and photo op at the post-run cool down in Fremont Park!

The running pros at Fleet Feet of Menlo Park are sponsoring the event and they’re experts at putting on a good race—they put on a Fun Run every week from their store. “It’s very social, lots of people running and talking with their pals,” says Jim Gothers, owner of the Menlo Park Fleet Feet. “Afterwards we have a social hour in the store where people hang out. Some people see running as a chore and intimidating, and we’re all about keeping it fun and enjoyable. We like to get people exercising together; it’s more fun with others. It builds community and that’s what our store’s all about.”

The 5k course winds through downtown Menlo Park. Go at your own pace and enjoy the scenery.
