For Locals In Need: Red Cross Running Storm Shelters In Milpitas and San Mateo
Two other relief centers are open in the North Bay providing warm meals and beds.

The American Red Cross has opened four emergency shelters in the Greater Bay Area to assist people affected by a storm that is making its way through the Bay Area.
The shelters are located at 9430 Lake St. in Lower Lake, San Mateo College at 1700 West Hillsdale Blvd. in San Mateo, Milpitas Sports Center at 1325 East Calaveras Blvd. in Milpitas and Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial at 1351 Maple Ave. in Santa Rosa.
The Lake County Animal Shelter at 4949 Helbush Dr. has also been opened.

Red Cross workers at the shelters are providing warm meals, a safe place to sleep and emotional support for people with immediate, disaster-caused needs.
