Firefighters and volunteers wore a smaller version of the Maltese cross/eagle style badge from 1916 until 1991, the fire district's 75th anniversary. At that time, the district adopted a larger shield badge. That badge has been used by the district for the past 25 years.
The Menlo Park Fire Protection District serves Atherton, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park and other unincorporated areas of San Mateo County.
