Menlo Park Man Accused of Masturbating in Front of Woman

PALO ALTO, CA - A Menlo Park man was arrested Tuesday evening on suspicion of masturbating in front of a woman at a parking garage in Palo Alto, police said.

Prooks Vaioemoui Mapa, 26, was arrested following the incident reported at about 7:30 p.m. inside Parking Garage S on Bryant Street, according to police.

The woman in her 20s was walking to her vehicle in the parking garage when she noticed a person loitering in the area, police said.

As she drove out of the garage, the same person walked toward her vehicle exposing himself and masturbating, according to police.

The woman immediately contacted police and Mapa was arrested on suspicion of a misdemeanor count of indecent exposure when officers detained him shortly afterward at Lytton Avenue and Kipling Street, police said.
