Puppet Art Theater presents "The Tale of the Dragon's Tale" at free family program July 28

On Tuesday, July 28, the Belle Haven Branch of the Menlo Park Library will welcome Puppet Art Theater, which will perform its production of “The Tale of the Dragon’s Tale.”

Under the artistic direction of Art Grueneberger, Puppet Art Theater Company performs hundreds of live performances for family audiences every year. Their shows tour to theaters, festivals, and public events all over California. With a keen sense of humor and a flair for drama, Grueneberger is a master at developing marvelous puppet shows that delight audiences of all ages. The company also builds and tours fantastic educational shows for government agencies, corporations and other organizations that deliver important educational messages to elementary school students.


In ”The Tale of the Dragon’s Tale,” a princess discovers there are problems in her kingdom. A dragon has been spotted in the hills above the castle, and her father, the King, has been giving all of the kingdom’s gold to a wizard who claims he can keep the dragon away. The princess makes it her job to solve the mystery.

Puppet Art Theater will perform at the Belle Haven Branch Library, located at 413 Ivy Drive, at noon on Tuesday, July 28. The event is free.


The show is part of a series of free family events at the Menlo Park Libraries this summer, part of the Summer Learning Challenge, which offers performances, games & prizes for all ages--even adults. For more details, check the event calendar at menlopark.org/library.
