Students will need to get up earlier to catch a SamTrans bus to when school starts again on the 9th. The school day bus schedule has changed.
The last bus on Route 83 will stop at Santa Cruz & Elder at 8:15 am, giving students five minutes until the first bell rings and ten minutes to get to class.
SamTrans Route 83 services the city of Menlo Park as well as the schools within it, including Hillview, Oak Knoll, and Encinal Schools in the Menlo Park City School District. The transportation authority modified its schedule to enable more kids to get to class on time.
"We are appreciative that SamTrans has made a significant effort to accommodate Menlo Park City School District," said Mike Melton, Hillview Middle School Principal, in a statement.
