1. Blue Angel Vodka Party
Start looking ahead to your Saturday night right now and consider the Blue Angel Vodka Party at the hosted by legendary vodka mogul, Maurice Kanbar and the at 1090 El Camino Real. Maurice is a renowned American inventor and successful entrepreneur, perhaps most widely known for his creation of SKYY vodka. He is also highly regarded for his extensive charity work.
At the Blue Angel Vodka Party you will have a chance to meet Maurice Kanbar in person and see a presentation of his newest creation, Blue Angel Vodka. The celebration will feature live music, a "blind tasting", and the chance to participate in a charity auction for the Education Program. After-party dancing will take place from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

2. Thursday Night Live

Tonight brings with it a double-header at the Oak City Bar & Grill. First up will be singer Shane Turner at 7 p.m. Then, from 8-11 p.m., Kelly Park is back, with Buca Necak and some jazz piano and vocals. There is no cover charge for this show. 3. Math Camp for Kids
If you're still at a loss for what your kids can do next week when they're off school for Winter Break, here's a chance to get them some entertainment, and a little help in the academics department as well--the "U-Me: Math Camp" with Vali Govier, of course! U-Me camp will run from Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and is for children from six to eight years old. What will they get out of it? Math fluency and an intuition for numbers. Through games they will learn the arts of strategy and logic. Snacks will be provided. The fee for this camp is $250 for the week, and siblings can play for $10 a day. U-Me is at 3355 Edison Way. 4. Arthritis Exercise Classes
Got arthritis, but still feel the need to move a bit? Some exercise classes may be too rigorous, but there is one that is especially geared toward arthritis sufferers at Little House. It meets today and the next three Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15-10:15 a.m. The fee is $64, and Little House members can receive an 8 percent discount. Little House is at 800 Middle Avenue. 5, Learn to Make Pan-Asian Snacks & Appetizers
Pan-Asian snacking will be the focus of next week's cooking class at Draeger's Cooking School. We want to give you the heads-up now, because there are only a few spots left for this unique class with Joyce Jue. The class is hands-on--you'll learn to make Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk; Banh Mi (a Vietnamese sandwich of pate, pickled vegetables and cilantro); Murtabak (Malaysian grilled bread stuffed with spicy, minced lamb); Samosas (Singaporean pastries with cauliflower and potatoes); and Be Ya Kyaw (Burmese, yellow, split-pea fritters).
