Weekend Shooting Claims Life of Peninsula Man

The shooting happened Sunday night in East Palo Alto.

Police are investigating a shooting that left a Palo Alto man dead Sunday night.

Around 9:30 p.m., officers received a call reporting of shots fired in the 300 block of Wisteria Drive, according to police.

The caller told police they heard shots, followed by someone screaming. Multiple calls to police then came in to report that a person had been shot, police said.

When officers arrived on scene, officers found a 31-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency crews treated the victim before transporting him to the hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to police.

Police have developed a possible suspect, although officers have not made any arrests in connection with the shooting.
