You Accomplish What He Has Done Without Ego & Then Come Talk To Me

Editor's note: This op-ed was inspired by comments left on an article Patch published about Atherton resident Steve Westly.


These statements, from what I know, are far from the truth.  I was the one that opened the door for The Patch to interview Steve Westly. Please, before you post a comment with little truth, do your homework.

The Patch went to Steve, because he takes the time to care about others. This isn't about political views. This is about a stand up person that is trying to make a difference from the bottom of his heart.

He puts in the time to make changes in the world, and never gives up trying. Having his contacts to change the world took perseverance & dedication, not a TV & remote control. Most Americans don't even take the time to vote.

Freedom isn't free.

Men and women lost their lives fighting for what they believe in. One of the many things I admire about Steve is that he values the lives that were lost for our country, and juggles family, friends, and our planet to back what he believes in. He is a humble man that just wants to help others. He looks you in the eye when he speaks with you, and most importantly, listens to what you have to say. He is passionate about leaving this planet a better place for his children.

I am not saying he is right or wrong. I am just saying he has a heart of gold.

Again, please do your fact checking, before you rush to judgement. Words hurt; yours were not kind. It doesn't make you look good posting negative comments, before you know all the facts.

One thing I have found about Steve is that he doesn't care if you're a billionaire, or scrub toilets for a living, he treats you with the same respect. That is what this world is missing. I wish the world have more people like him in it. This world would be a better place, a kinder place.
