Burglar Caught Rummaging Through Millbrae Vehicle, Police Say
Sheriff's officials say the woman tried to hide in a local apartment complex after she was spotted.

MILLBRAE, CA — A Millbrae man caught a woman red-handed as she attempted to burglarize him, sheriff's officials report. The woman, who allegedly took off running after he spotted her, was ultimately caught as she tried to hide from authorities, officials said.
Jessica Marie Kinslow, 35, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of narcotics, and on two outstanding warrants following the Thursday night ordeal, according to San Mateo County Sheriff's Det. Rosemerry Blankswade.
At around 10:34 p.m. that night, a man called police to let them know that someone had just broken into his vehicle.

"The male victim reported that as he walked towards his car, which was parked in a gated parking lot and locked, he found the unknown female suspect (Jessica Marie Kinslow) in the back seat," Blankswade said in a news release. "She was rummaging through his belongings and when the victim told Jessica to get out of his car, she ran away into the apartment complex."
Responding deputies located Kinslow trying to hide near a stairwell at the apartment complex, according to the sheriff's office.

"Jessica was in possession of burglary tools, had suspected Oxycodone in her purse, and had two outstanding warrants," officials said.
She was taken to the county jail.
