Census 2020: Make Sure You Are Counted In Millbrae

Census 2020 is quick and easy to complete. It will only ask for very basic information: how many people live in your home, whether the home is owned or rented, and the name, age, sex, and race of each person. There are only 9 easy questions and it will take about 10 minutes to fill out – but will impact the NEXT 10 YEARS! Filling out your form enables your community to receive up to $10,000 per person until the next census takes place in 2030.

Don’t forget to count everyone living with you, including babies, young children, extended family, friends, roommates, and renters. If you don’t have the details needed for everyone living in your home, ask them to complete the questionnaire directly so they are counted.

Not only is Census 2020 quick and easy, it is safe to complete. No personal details will be shared outside the Census Bureau – not to ICE, FBI, Welfare, or local code or law enforcement. There are very strong laws and many steps taken to keep your personal information confidential for 72 years. The Census Bureau only reports out statistics to help governments, businesses, and nonprofits make policy, budget, and program decisions.

It doesn’t matter what your citizenship status is, how old you are, or if you have had trouble with the law. Everyone counts in the national census. And it only happens every 10 years, so don’t miss this opportunity to make sure your family and community get the representation and resources they deserve.
