COMMUTERS: BART Running 20 Minutes Behind Schedule

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – BART this morning is reporting a 20-minute delay systemwide due to an earlier problem in the downtown Oakland area.

Officials said there was disabled maintenance vehicle between the MacArthur and 19th Street stations in Oakland.

Service through downtown Oakland was halted, but BART has since restored service.

The delays were first reported around 4:30 a.m.
