Quynh Legos is a parent of a son with 47-XYY syndrome who she has been homeschooling for the last 4 years. Her homeschooling experience includes typically developing children as well as her son with special needs.

There are many approaches to homeschooling with two main paths: 1) Public with distance learning through rigorous curriculum provided the State of California’s approved vender K12.com and 2)Private in which the parent obtains an affidavit for a private school and acts as administrator, teacher and jack of all trades.Β  Ms. Legos will briefly discuss the pros and cons of this choice .
Ms. Legos will share her experience of what homeschooling is like on a daily basis, as well as the rewards and challenges that come with homeschooling.
