Millbrae Chamber Names New President
Ed Banayat replaces longtime President John Ford, who resigned in February.
The Millbrae Chamber of Commerce's search for a new leader is over.
Ed Banayat, a recent graduate from the San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Program, will take over as president within two weeks, the Millbrae chamber announced.
Banayat served as the SMACC's Chief Administrative Officer and Marketing Manager for seven years.

Banayat succeeds John Ford, who in February after heading the chamber for eight years.
"Ed Banayat is an enthusiastic man with much experience behind him," Millbrae Chamber Board Chair Ron Frediani said in a prepared statement.

"(Banayat) will bring innovative ideas as well as adhering to 'tried and true' chamber traditions. We look forward to having Ed going out into the community meeting all of you as well as promoting the chamber to future members and the general public".
