Millbrae and San Bruno Bike Riders

San Bruno and Millbrae Bicycle Riders:

Your help is requested. Millbrae hired a firm to write their EIR (Environmental Impact Report) but like any outside consultant, they don’t know the best bike route to/from San Bruno - they need input from the community.
One thing I do know... California Drive will be the designated bike commuter route from Millbrae BART/Caltrain southward to Burlingame and beyond, but there is currently no safe commuter route NORTHWARD of Millbrae BART/Caltrain Station to San Bruno, or to the SSF section of the Bay Trail, north of SFO.
Please read the transportation section of Millbrae’s Draft EIR and submit your comments / suggestions prior to the deadline for comments.

One thought: Should El Camino Real model San Francisco’s Market Street with “cycletracks” (bike lanes that are separated from car lanes with a protective median)?https://www.sfbike.org/news/upper-market-street-get-protected-bike-lanes-speak-support-may-5/

For those who have ever taken a bike ride between San Bruno and Millbrae on El Camino Real in the past, sharing your experiences will be extremely valuable to transportation planners. Without your voice, priority will always remain 100% automobile-centered.
