Songwriter Steve Taylor-Ramírez plays Off the Grid Millbrae

Enjoy gourmet food and live, original music at Off the Grid at the Millbrae BART. Berkeley singer-songwriter Steve Taylor-Ramírez brings his folk-rock, blues and Latin sounds to the mobile gourmet marketplace.

Taylor-Ramírez, a former newspaper reporter, writes songs about love and the times we live in. He's been named a “Critic's Choice” by the East Bay Express, UC Berkeley and Bay Area News Group. His music, videos, reviews and bio can be found at http://www.reverbnation.com/stevetaylorramirez.

A former guitarist for a gospel band in Oakland, Taylor-Ramírez has played many popular Bay Area venues. He went to Skyline Studios, Oakland, with his band recently and recorded an EP of original songs.

Corey Mason, host of worldOneradio, called the EP "warm, rootsy and genuinely charming" and put it in regular rotation on KECG 88.1 FM, El Cerrito. Dj Nobody of KUSF Radio called it "Lovely … Steve is developing a new musical genre.”
