South San Francisco Police Officer Hurt While Making Arrest

Police say a suspect hurt an officer while resisting arrest.

South San Francisco, CA – A South San Francisco Police officer was injured during an arrest Sunday night, police said this week.

The officer stopped a Honda Accord that allegedly did not have a front license plate in the 900 block of Grand Avenue.

The driver, Kristine Killilea, allegedly had a suspended driver's license and admitted to possessing contraband.

Police said that Killilea, a 32-year-old resident of South San Francisco, struggled during the search and one of the arresting officers suffered an injury to the hand.

Killilea was arrested on suspicion of possession, resisting arrest and causing bodily injury to an officer, according to police.

The officer was taken to a hospital, treated and released.
