Suspects In Millbrae Crimes Arrested In SWAT Operation, Police Say

BREAKING: Police say that they were looking into a series of crimes across multiple Peninsula cities.

SAN BRUNO, CA -- Two people were arrested this week as a SWAT scene unfolded in a San Bruno neighborhood for the service of a search warrant related to a recent series of crimes across San Bruno, Millbrae and San Francisco, police say. On Thursday morning, San Bruno police were joined by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, the North County Regional S.W.A.T. team, and the San Francisco Police Department for the operation.

San Bruno Police Lt. Ryan Johansen says that at 4:30 a.m. the agencies headed to the 1900 block of Monterey Drive to serve the warrant.

"This search warrant stemmed from an extensive investigation into a series of crimes that occurred in San Bruno, Millbrae, and San Francisco over the last several weeks," Johansen said. "These crimes included auto burglaries, identity thefts, stolen vehicles and a violent assault."
