The City of Millbrae Caters to Everyone EXCEPT its RESIDENTS!

There is no doubt in my mind that something is going on with the city of Millbrae about the speed, and volume of the traffic situation. They have some reason why they want the traffic roaring down the street(s) and we need to find out what it is (of course money is always a factor!) The Sheriff's dept seems to be helping the city too, otherwise, why would the city have sent one out to bully me about taking down the "slow down" sign I have up? When I said, "NO", the deputy sent out said, "IT'S YOUR FUNERAL!" Can you believe such a thing? I think they like to appease some of the public and make things look good on the surface, by making a few empty, half- hearted gestures (coming out at the least busy part of the day for 15 minutes, and giving out one ticket and leaving) but now, they have become outwardly hostile toward me! How often do you hear of a sheriff's deputy going to a person's house to harass them about a sign? I have had as many as three at a time! They say they are busy, but they can afford to send out three deputies about a sign? I had the neighbor up the street spit at me over my sign, and now I find out he is well known by deputies as a "harmless old man, but angry"! A deputy came to my house, said he has been to the man's home, and knows the guy isn't hiding anything dangerous. He said the guy hasn't had run ins with the law! Well then, how does he know so much about the man? He also said he knows the guy drives his granddaughter to school each day, and that the man does not have AIDS, which is what the man screamed at me, after he spat at me.
    There is a weird thing going on about allowing traffic to speed in Millbrae, and it MUST all stem back to money, or favors! I have also noticed lately, an influx of tour buses (and Limos) going down the street. (The limos driving as if there is no speed limit at all!) After the recent near head on collision on Millbrae Ave. nothing was done by the city, or Sheriff's Dept. to help calm traffic! What WAS done, was tree trimmers were sent out by the city to cut back trees to allow for larger vehicles to go up the hill. It provided no other service, but that. (after all, is the safety of people as important as money?) When I recently mentioned the collision to a deputy, he said, "it wasn't a head on collision", yeah, only because the woman in danger drove off the road, and up the side of the wall! How DARE the sheriffs minimize the danger by parsing the language of the situation!!
   There are NO conspiracy theories going on in my mind about it all; it is the end result of what I have seen, and heard. I DO believe that there is something going on between the city, sheriff's deputies, and select members of the neighborhood to provide for the goals of the city, at our expense. WE DESERVE BETTER THAN THIS! We need to get rid of the graft in Millbrae!
