Hwy 101 Near SFO Reopens After Vehicle Fire [UPDATE]
BREAKING: Crews cleaned up the scene where a motorhome caught fire, CHP said.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA β UPDATE: FRIDAY, JAN. 13, 5:20 p.m.
All lanes of southbound U.S. Highway 101 are now open near the San Francisco International Airport after a motor home fire this afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fire broke out about 2:45 p.m. and while the motorhome was on the right hand shoulder, two lanes were closed to allow fire crews to battle the blaze.

It was extinguished by about 3:15 p.m. and the lanes were cleaned and reopened by 4:37 p.m., according to the CHP.

FRIDAY, JAN. 13, 4:37 p.m.
The right lanes of southbound U.S. Highway 101 just north of the San Francisco International Airport exit are closed this afternoon due to a motorhome fire.
At about 2:45 p.m., calls came in to report that the vehicle was belching smoke into the sky and shortly after that flames were seen shooting out of the 28-foot recreational vehicle, according to the CHP.
The fire was extinguished by about 3:15 p.m. and now clean-up crews are working to clear the area.
No additional details were immediately available.
