Man Killed In Marin City Shooting​; Authorities Seek Witnesses

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Detectives were investigating a homicide Wednesday after a man was killed in a shooting Tuesday night in Marin County.

Marin County sheriff's deputies responded to calls of a shooting around 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Drake Avenue in unincorporated Marin City.

Authorities found an unresponsive man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man, who was later identified as 42-year-old Tiyon Ford of Marin City, was taken to a hospital where he later died, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.

"The Marin County Sheriff's Office and personnel of the Coroner Division offers our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Ford," the sheriff's office said.

The deadly shooting remains under investigation. There were reportedly several witnesses to the shooting, according to the sheriff's office.
