2 Controlled Burns Conducted In Marin County
Southern Marin Fire Protection District has a prescribed burn, while Marin Municipal Water District crews are continuing pile burning.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Two controlled burns are taking place Tuesday in Marin County.
Southern Marin Fire Protection District is doing a prescribed burn off Carrera Drive in Mill Valley. Elsewhere around the county, Marin Municipal Water District crews are continuing pile burning on West Ridgecrest Boulevard near the Laurel Dell Fire Road gate.
The controlled burns are being conducted to create defensible space and help prevent the risk of wildfires. Smoke may be visible around the region.
