2015 Marin Young Playwrights Festival

Marin Theatre Company presents the sixth annual Marin Young Playwrights Festival, featuring 10-minute plays by Marin's young talent.

Join Marin Theatre Company for the sixth annual 10-Minute Play Festival, which features eight ten-minute plays written and acted by Marin County teens. At press time, participating high schools included: Jewish Community High School, Novato High School, Redwood High School, San Marin High School, Sir Francis Drake High School, Sonoma Academy and Tamalpais High School. The 10-Minute Play Festival is part of MTC’s Marin Young Playwrights Festival program, which celebrates the work of teen playwrights in Marin County and encourages a focus on playwriting in local high schools.

MTC’s artistic staff serves as judges and selects one winning script. Now in its sixth year, the Marin Young Playwrights Festival is sponsored by MTC and produced by the company’s Teen Apprentice Program. This season, the Teen Advisory Board selected the eight finalists from 73 submissions.

· Portrait for Two by Abby Bordin, Tamalpais High School

· Yester-Yesterday by Leo Zaklikowski, Redwood High School
