3 Women Arrested, Found In Stolen Vehicle In Sausalito

All three suspects were booked into Marin County Jail.

SAUSALITO, CA – Sausalito police arrested three Stockton women who they allegedly found driving a stolen vehicle in their city Saturday evening.

At 6:10 p.m., police received an alert from a license place recognition camera of a stolen car entering Sausalito from the 4000 block of Bridgeway. The vehicle, a 2006 Chevrolet, had been stolen from Fremont on Nov. 22, police said.

Responding officers pulled over the vehicle at Caledonia and Napa streets. The driver was identified as 25-year-old Deanna Baxter and the two passengers were identified as 27-year-old Jessica Velasquez and 24-year-old Angelica Crain, all from Stockton.

All three suspects were detained without incident, police said.

During an investigation, police found burglary tools, stolen mail, stolen credit and ID cards, check-washing paraphernalia and prescription medication that was not prescribed to any of the suspects, police said.

According to police, Baxter was arrested on suspicion of possessing the stolen vehicle and burglary tools. Velasquez was arrested on suspicion of possessing burglary tools, providing false identification, and
for two warrants. They were booked into the Marin County Jail.

Crain was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of prescription medication. She was cited and released at the scene, police said.
