Alert: Flash Flood Warning Issued for Northern Marin County

The warning lasts until 5 p.m.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – The National Weather Service in the San Francisco Bay Area issued a flash flood warning on Thursday for Northern Marin County and Southeastern Sonoma County.

The warning, which lasts until 5 p.m., advises residents to stay home, if possible, and avoid driving hazards. According to the warning, power lines and trees have the potential to fall during this storm.

Drivers were also asked to watch for emergency responders on the road, especially while they are on scene at an incident. In addition, drivers should keep extra space between vehicles, use defoggers and blinkers, and give themselves extra time to get to their destination safely.
