Town Center Corte Madera Extends Its Lush Landscaping To The Center's Office Building Lobby With A Beautiful Living Wall
TOWN CENTER CORTE MADERA EXTENDS ITS LUSH LANDSCAPING TO THE CENTER’S OFFICE BUILDING LOBBY WITH A BEAUTIFUL LIVING WALL
The “living wall” features native and ornamental plants that help create an inviting space for Town Center tenants and visitors
Town Center Corte Madera recently completed a renovation of the Center’s office building (located at 770 Tamalpais Drive at the south end of Town Center) which included upgrades to the common areas – hallways, restrooms and the lobby. The lobby of the office building now features a stunning, vibrant living wall of plants designed by Bay Area horticulturalist/designer, David Brenner and thought to be the only one of its kind in Marin County. The wall is adjacent to a water feature and together they help create an inviting lobby entrance for tenants and visitors. The lobby also features a wall of reclaimed wood, again reinforcing the natural feeling inside. A bench in front of the living wall provides a pleasant spot to sit and take in the full ceiling-to-floor living wall and water feature. www.shopttowncenter.com

“We are very proud of the new additions to the Town Center office building especially in the lobby with the creation of this incredibly beautiful living wall,” said Stan Hoffman, General Manager, and Town Center Corte Madera. “Our idea was to integrate the Center’s lush outdoor landscaping into an indoor area which we accomplished with the living wall and the adjacent water treatment. We want to encourage our visitors to stop by the office building lobby and enjoy these new features.”
“Being an avid hiker, I love the natural beauty in Marin County and Mt. Tamalpais,” said David Brenner, Founder & Designer of Habitat Horticulture: Living Walls & Design. “I am inspired by the understory plants found throughout mixed evergreen forests on Mt. Tam and I wanted to emulate these communities by incorporating some regionally native plants into the wall such as Tolmiea menziesii- and Adiantum aleuticum – Five Fingered Fern. The Mt. Tam native plants provide a lush backdrop allowing for the swathes of the luminescent, magenta begonias and bright neon pothos to invite visitors into the lobby space.”
