Annual Pruning of Eucalypts at DeSilva Island

Trees that are home to great blue herons will be pruned for safety and view.

Now that the nesting season is over, eucalypts at DeSilva Island will be pruned for view and safety from October 7-11 by Sonoma-Marin Arborists. Annual pruning of these mature eucalypts helps maintain treasured views of Richardson Bay for DeSilva Island residents and safety for pedestrians using the public shoreline path below. Nesting great blue herons and egrets are enjoying the towering eucalypts that are carefully managed by the DeSilva Island Board of Directors.
