Police also deployed a drone and K-9 teams from the Novato and San Rafael police departments to assist in the search.

After what police described as an exhaustive search, the shelter-in-place order was lifted around 8:45 p.m. Investigators determined the suspect likely left the area in a vehicle as officers were arriving.

The suspect was described as a white man in his 30s with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black mask and a black hooded sweatshirt.
