Boater Who Died After Being Pulled From Richardson Bay ID'd
Marin City resident Robert Lee Williams Jr., 43, died after falling out of a rowboat in Richardson Bay near Sausalito.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – A man who died after falling out of a rowboat in Richardson Bay near Sausalito on Monday has been identified by the Marin County coroner's office as 43-year-old Marin City resident Robert Lee Williams Jr.
Southern Marin Fire Protection District crews responded at 2:18 p.m. Monday to a dock at Schoonmaker Point Marina on a report of two people in the water.
A man and woman were in distress after ending up out of the small vessel they were in. They were rescued and taken to a hospital but Williams succumbed to his injuries there, fire officials said.

A firefighter also suffered minor injuries in the rescue response and was taken to a hospital.
People in a sailboat made the initial contact with the victims to help them, according to the fire district.

Winds were above 30 mph in the area during the afternoon when the boaters were in the water, Battalion Chief Matt Barnes said.
