Bolinas Body Still Unidentified: Marin Coroner Turns to Forensic Artist

The coroner's office has contacted a forensic artist to help with getting an image out to the public for identification.

By Bay City News Service:

Marin County coroner’s officials hope a forensic artist will help them identify the body of a man who was found on Bolinas Beach earlier this month.

The coroner’s office contacted the forensic artist Wednesday, Chief Deputy Coroner Darrell Harris said Thursday morning.

When distributed to the media at a later date, the artist’s image of the man’s face might jog someone’s memory or provide leads to the man’s identity, Harris said.

The body of a white man in his mid 40s or 50s was found in the surf line around 10:30 a.m. Jan. 13. The death is considered suspicious. There have been no fingerprint matches or leads from neighborhood canvases or visits to local clinics, Harris said.

People who frequent Bolinas and Stinson beaches have not provided any leads, he said.

There also have been no matches with the California Department of Justice’s missing and unidentified persons section, Harris said.
