Free Baseball Clinics at Foster Children BBQ Fundraiser at Oakland Coliseum on July 7th

The First Base Foundation is proud to support Alternative Family Services, a non-profit organization that helps children that have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Alternative Family Services provides foster care, therapy, family services, and adoption services to place these children into safe and permanent homes in various counties across northern California.

On July 7^th get ready to warm up your grills and your bats for the Bay Area BBQ Championship hosted by Alternative Family Services. With over 60 professional and amateur BBQ teams, live BBQ demos, celebrity judges, and a Family Boardwalk this event will definitely become California’s premier BBQ destination as well as a fundraiser for local foster children.

The FBF, partnered with Alternative Family Services, will hold youth baseball clinics at the Family Boardwalk.

The Alternative Family Services Organization’s focus and commitment on mental health and lasting family environments makes them an ally in our own goal to create leaders and role models for our community.
