Coast Guard To Host Water Safety Fair In Sausalito
The free event starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coast Guard Station Golden Gate.

SAUSALITO, CA –The U.S. Coast Guard is hosting a Water Safety Fair on Saturday in Sausalito to allow the public to meet first responders and learn about boating safety.
The free event starts at 10 a.m. at Coast Guard Station Golden Gate and will include a rescue helicopter demonstration at noon, rescue boat tours, a K-9 bomb detection demonstration and information on best practices while boating or paddling.
"We're excited to meet with the community to promote safe and responsible boating heading into the summer," Petty Officer 1st Class Matthew Whitlow said in a statement. "The Bay Area is a beautiful place to enjoy getting out on the water and we want people to get out there and have fun, we just also want them to make it back to shore safely."

"If Found" stickers will also be handed out for people to attach to their paddle boards or kayaks with contact information if first responders come across it and have to determine if there is an emergency or if the
watercraft is just adrift.
