Coroner IDs Man Found Dead at Point Reyes National Seashore
His body was found around 9:45 a.m. Sunday about a half-mile from Elephant Rock in Inverness.

The Marin County coroner’s office has identified a man who was found dead Sunday morning at Point Reyes National Seashore as 62-year-old John Son, also known as Jong Son.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday on Son, a San Jose resident, Chief Deputy Coroner Darrell Harris said.

A search and rescue operation began after a vehicle containing some of Son’s personal property was found Friday on top of a cliff, Harris said.
Son’s body was found around 9:45 a.m. Sunday about a half-mile from Elephant Rock in Inverness, Harris said.

Point Reyes National Seashore spokesman John Dell’Osso said Son’s body was found in the northernmost part of the park between Kehoe Beach and McClures Beach.
